GILBERT, Ariz. — Skidmore College first-year women's tennis players
Ginevra Muratori and
Amelie Gonzalez have made program history with national and regional rankings from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Muratori, the reigning ITA Northeast Regional singles champion, is ranked No. 12 nationally in singles and No. 3 in the Northeast Region.
Muratori and Gonzalez, who reached the regional doubles final this fall, are ranked No. 15 nationally and No. 4 in the region in doubles.
All rankings mark the highest-ever achievements for Skidmore first-year players.
The national lists recognize the top 50 singles players and top 25 doubles teams. Regional rankings include the top 20 singles players and top 10 doubles teams across the Atlantic South, Central, Northeast and West regions.
The Thoroughbreds open their spring season in February with dual-match competition.
