TROY, N.Y. – Skidmore College men's basketball standout Jacob Gooden was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the week ending Nov. 23. Additionally Madison Meyer from women's basketball was selected to the Honor Roll.
 
Jacob Gooden (#15, Fr., G, Edmond, Oklahoma) – Liberty League Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Gooden averaged 18.5 points per game totaling eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals last week in a 1-1 week for the Thoroughbreds. He had 27 on a 9-of-13 (.692) shooting night on Wednesday against WestConn before adding 10 more points in Saturday's road victory at Purchase. 
 
Madison Meyer (#10, Sr., G, Delanson, New York) – Liberty League Women's Basketball Honor Roll
Meyer scored in double figures in both games against nationally-ranked opponents. She had 10 points with five rebounds and an assist on Saturday at No. 25/11 Trinity before scoring 10 to go along with three steals on Saturday versus No. 3/5 Bowdoin. She averaged 11.5 points with 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist for the Thoroughbreds.
