Skidmore in middle of pack halfway through RPI Invitational

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The Skidmore College golf team is in seventh place after the first of two rounds at the Shaker Ridge Golf Club and the RPI Invitational. The Thoroughbreds shot a team score of 305 on Sunday.
  • Rudraksha Banerjee and Patrick McLaughlin are together in a tie for 12th with matching 75s. McLaughlin put down 13 pars and a birdie on his card, while Banerjee's round was highlighted by three consecutive birdies (No. 12-14) and four overall.
  • Jaden Cheng fired a 77 and is tied for 28th.
  • Derek Thomas finished round one with 78 and is t-36.
  • Swarthmore and host Rensselaer are tied for the team lead (295), both five ahead of Bishop.
  • Swarthmore's Dao Frank Zhou and RPI's Sujaan Singh are tied for first on the individual leaderboard, both having shot 1-under 70s.

The two-day tournament concludes Monday morning with the second round at Shaker Ridge.
