TROY, N.Y. – The Skidmore Men's Varsity 4+ was selected as the Liberty League Men's Rowing Boat of the Week for the week ending Oct. 26, and Emelie Lan was named the Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week. Skidmore also had five earn spots on the Honor Roll: Mia Angwin (field hockey), Abby Lewis (women's soccer), Thomas Gaughan (men's swimming & diving), Kelly Hsu (women's swimming & diving), Natalie Pedersen (volleyball).
 
Men's Varsity 4+ - Liberty League Men's Rowing Boat of the Week
Hayden Harlow, Will Landro, Sam van Adrichem Boogaert, Thomas du Four, Grant Steinberger
Won the Head of the Fish in a time of 11:47 in the field of 22 crews, including Liberty League rivals Ithaca, SLU, and Rochester.
 
Emelia Lan (Fr., Tenafly, New Jersey) - Liberty League Women's Swimming & Diving
Lan had a dominant debut weekend in the pool for the Thoroughbreds with five event victories over two dual wins over St. Lawrence and Clarkson. On Friday, the rookie had wins in the 100 free (56.00) and 100 breast (1:11.34). Then, on Saturday, she was the victor of the 100 back (1:04.00) and 200 breast (2:36.05) in addition to the 200-medley relay (1:53.87).
 
Mia Angwin (#8, Sr., F/M, South Burlington, Vermont) – Liberty League Field Hockey
Angwin had three goals and an assist across a pair of games to lead the Thoroughbreds with seven points in a 1-1 week. She had two goals and an assist as Skidmore topped Sage 6-1 on Wednesday and scored again on Saturday to give the Thoroughbreds a 2-1 second-quarter lead against RPI.
 
Abby Lewis (#20, Jr., F, East Greenwich, Rhode Island) – Liberty League Women's Soccer
Lewis stretched her goal-scoring streak to three in a row as she scored the lone goal in a 1-0 Thoroughbred victory over Union on Wednesday for her ninth goal and fifth game-winning goal of the season. She also played a full 90 minutes with two shots on Saturday against #25 Vassar.
 
Thomas Gaughan (So., Nutley, New Jersey) – Liberty League Men's Swimming & Diving
Gaughan finished first in four individual events, and one relay, to lead Skidmore in a 1-1 opening weekend in duals against St. Lawrence and Clarkson. On Friday in the victory over SLU, Gaughan won the 100 fly (54.97) and was a part of the event-winning 200-free relay (1:30.85). He then led Skidmore with three wins on Saturday against Clarkson, including the 200 fly (2:06.18), 100 free (49.54), and 200 IM (2:03.87).
 
Kelly Hsu (Jr., New York, New York) – Liberty League Women's Swimming & Diving
Hsu claimed four individual wins and was a member of a winning relay squad over the weekend in Skidmore dual wins over St. Lawrence and Clarkson. On Friday against St. Lawrence, she had victories in the 200 free (2:00.16) and the 100 fly (1:01.57) in addition to the 200-medley relay (1:53.28). She then touched first on Saturday in both the 100 free (54.27) and 200 IM (2:18.31).
 
Natalie Pedersen (#7, So., OH, Rochester, New York) – Liberty League Volleyball
Pedersen tallied double-digit kills twice in a 3-0 week for the Thoroughbreds, highlighted by a 17-kill performance to lead Skidmore in a five-set victory over Vassar on Friday. She finished the week averaging 2.67 kills per set while hitting .278 with five digs and two blocks.
