ROME, GA – The Skidmore College women's tennis first-year duo of
Ginevra Muratori and
Amelie Gonzalez bowed out in the opening rounds at the 2025 ITA Cup hosted at Berry College on Thursday.
SINGLES MATCH
- In the first round, Muratori forced third-seeded Izabele Antanavicius of Emory into a first set tiebreak before narrowly losing 6-7 (3-7). The freshman then bowed out of the singles tournament with a 0-6 second set defeat.
DOUBLES MATCH
- In the first round, Gonzalez/Muratori lost the first set against Gustavus Adolphus' DeBruijn/Elvestrom in tiebreaks, 6-7 (5-7), before bowing out of the doubles competition with a 3-6 second set defeat.
UP NEXT
Rounding out the fall season, Skidmore will host the Thoroughbred Invitational this Saturday to Sunday at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center, with starting time of 10 AM on both days.
