TROY, N.Y. – Jaden Cheng was selected as the Liberty League Men's Golf Rookie of the Week, and Patrick McLaughlin earned Performer of the Week honors for the week ending Oct. 12. Additionally, Chloe Heitman from volleyball was recognized on the Honor Roll.
 
Jaden Cheng (Fy., Manhasset, New York) – Liberty League Men's Golf Rookie of the Week
Cheng went under par in two out of three rounds of the Skidmore Fall Invitational on the way to finishing in a tie for third place individually. After a 74 in round one, he fired a 71 in the second round and a 2-under 70 in round three for a 215 total score.
 
Patrick McLaughlin (So., Dalton, Massachusetts) – Liberty League Men's Golf Performer of the Week
McLaughlin finished tied for seventh at the Skidmore Fall Invitational over the weekend with a three-round score of 216 (even par). He started hot, with a 2-under 70 in the opening round on Saturday before shooting a 71 in round two on Saturday afternoon. He finished with a 75 on Sunday to preserve the top-10 finish.
 
Chloe Heitman (#9, Fy., OH, Acton, Massachusetts) – Liberty League Volleyball Honor Roll
Heitman averaged 3.14 kills per set with 1.43 digs in a 2-0 week for the Thoroughbreds. On the road at Castleton, she had 10 kills with four digs in a four-set Skidmore win. Then, in a sweep at St. Lawrence, Heitman finished with 12 kills and a .391 attack percentage with three aces, six digs, and two blocks.
