TROY, N.Y. – Two Skidmore College student-athletes earned spots on the Liberty League Honor Roll for the week ending Jan. 26. Junior Joey Skoric represented men's basketball, while sophomore Josh Amembal of men's swimming & diving also picked up the recognition.
 
Joey Skoric (#14, Jr., F, Ridgewood, New Jersey) – Liberty League Men's Basketball Honor Roll
Skoric was a force on both ends of the court for the Thoroughbreds last week with three double-doubles, where he averaged 14.67 points, 15.67 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 2.0 assists. In Tuesday's win at Vassar, he scored 15 points with 14 rebounds. Then, he pulled down a career-high 20 boards, seven offensive, to go with 16 points and four blocks Friday against Bard. Finally, he scored 13 with 13 rebounds Saturday against Ithaca. Skoric shot 64 percent from the field for the week and 90 percent at the free-throw line.
 
Josh Amembal (So., London, England) – Liberty League Men's Swimming & Diving Honor Roll
Amembal dominated both diving events on Saturday for the Thoroughbreds at RPI for a pair of convincing wins. He scored a 206.18 in the 3-meter competition to win by nearly 40 points before beating all three Engineer competitors in the 1-meter event with a 243.23 for the win by a 74.48-point margin.
