TROY, NY – The Skidmore College swimming and diving teams lost in a dual meet matchup against RPI on Saturday afternoon. The men's team lost 91-195 while the women was defeated by a final score of 99-195.
TOP-THREE MEN'S FINISHERS
- In the 200-medley relay, the Skidmore A-relay team of Ryan Delfico, Liam Keating, Thomas Gaughan and Owen Magoon finished third with a time of 1:39.74.
- Senior Nicolas Sodi finished third in the 1000 free after clocking in at 10:21.53.
- The 100 back saw the senior duo of Delfico and Keegan Scharoun placing second and third, respectively, with finishes of 54.10 and 55.77.
- In the 100 breast, Keating earned a third-place finish after touching in 1:01.89.
- In the 200 fly, Sodi took second at a time of 2:03.48, while freshman Allen Huseinovic was third at 2:04.89.
- Sprinting in the 50 free, sophomore Owen Magoon placed third with a time of 22.40. Magoon also placed second in the 200 breast with a runner-up finish of 2:21.22.
- In the 200 back, Delfico placed third after clocking in at 1:59.94. The senior also came out in third in the 100 fly with his time of 55.28.
- In the 500 free, Scharoun touched in third after clocking a time of 5:00.66.
- The 200 IM saw Gaughan place second at a time of 2:05.30, finishing behind the freshman was senior David Marcello in third with his time of 2:10.11.
- Rounding out action in the pool, the Skidmore 400 free relay A-relay group of Jonah Vaynshtok, Gavin Schiavi, Sodi and Magoon took second with a time of 3:25.32.
- In a two-person competition for the 3-meter dive, sophomore Josh Amembal beat out RPI's Eric Carson with a top score of 206.18. In the 1-meter event, Amembal beat out three RPI divers with a top score of 243.23.
TOP-THREE WOMEN'S FINISHERS
- In the 200-medley relay, the Thoroughbreds A-relay group of Gretchen Gwitt, Faye Mooney, Kelly Hsu and Emily Booth placed third with a combined time of 1:53.96.
- Sophomore Sabrina Reed finished second in the 1000 free after touching in at 11:13.31.
- The 200 free was won by Hsu in a time of 1:57.92. The sophomore also placed third in the 100 free with a time of 54.37.
- In the 100 back, senior Chloe Kim came in second after clocking in at 1:04.33.
- In the 100 breast, Mooney finished third with a time of 1:09.88.
- Junior Ginny Hunt placed third in the 200 fly with her time of 2:19.15.
- Gwitt took third in the 50 free as the junior sprinted to a time of 25.39.
- In the 200 back, Gwitt and Hunt placed second and third, respectively, with times of 2:17.93 and 2:17.99.
- The 500 free was won by Reed after the sophomore finished her swim in a time of 5:26.52. Senior Emily Czelusniak took third with a time of 5:51.39.
- In the 100 fly, Gwitt and E. Booth placed second and third, respectively, with times of 59.42 and 1:01.84
- In the 200 IM, the sophomore duo of Hsu and Reed placed second and third with times of 2:15.18 and 2:24.80.
- In the 400 free relay, the Thoroughbreds A-relay quartet of Mooney, E. Booth, Jae Mason and Reed placed second with a time of 3:51.68.
- On the boards, senior Sophia May finished third for the 1-meter dive with a score of 204.23. The senior also finished second in the 3-meter dive with a final mark of 201.15, while freshman Lila Tulimieri was third at 151.35.

The Thoroughbreds prepare for Senior Day next Saturday when the program hosts the Skidmore Sprint Invite. The meet is set for a 1 PM set time, with Senior Day celebrations taking place beforehand.
