WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Skidmore College golf team had the third-best Sunday round of 300 and finished tied for 10
th at the Williams Fall Invitational.

The Thoroughbreds made a 13-stroke overnight improvement to move up four places and in a tie with Endicott at 613.
- First-year Patrick McLaughlin shared the team's best second round of 73 and finished tied for 14th (77-73—150). He moved up 14 spots. After a double bogey on his second hole and a bogey two holes later on No. 17, McLaughlin played his final 14 holes, bogey free, at 1-under and finished his strong tournament with a bang with a birdie on No. 13, his final hole.
- Tate Esler also shot a 1-over 73 on Sunday. He tied for 20th at 79-73—152. Esler's round featured birdies on his first hole (No. 15) and No. 10.
- Rudraksha Banerjee tied for 30th in his first collegiate appearance. He shot a 77 in both rounds. In round two, he birdied the par-5 No. 1.
- Evan Forrest had back-to-back birdies on No. 18 and No. 1, both par-5s, on the way to a 79. He tied for 67th.
- Campbell Jenkins had a 77 on Sunday, trimming six shots off his Saturday score, and tied for 72nd.
- Gustavus Adolphus won the team title by nine over Middlebury. They trailed by seven entering the day and had the day's best team score by a 12-shot margin.
- Gustavus Adolphus also had the individual champion, Christopher Gutuza, who shot a 3-under 68 in round two to win by four.

"After a disappointing first round, we came back strong and made a nice run today, getting as high as fifth at one point. We have a lot of positives to take with us in getting ready for our home event at the state park in three weeks. We have a young team and are improving every day." Â
