Thoroughbreds placed 14th after day one at Williams Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Skidmore College men's golf team concluded day one at the Williams Fall Invitational placed 14th among 19 competing teams on Saturday. The Thoroughbreds shot a 313 as a team through the first round of competition.
  • The freshman duo of Patrick McLaughlin and Rudraksha Banerjee each stand tied for 28th-place after shooting 6-over-71. McLaughlin recorded four birdies while Banerjee had a pair of his own.
  • Sophomore Tate Esler finished his day tied for 49th after being 8-over-71. The sophomore finished his session with two birdies in the final four holes.
  • Senior Evan Forrest shot an 80 to finish his day tied in the 65th spot, having shot a pair of birdies along the way.
  • Rounding out the Thoroughbred competitors was sophomore Campbell Jenkins, who shot an 83 to tie for 81st spot. The sophomore hit for par on nine of his holes.
UP NEXT
The Thoroughbreds are back on the field tomorrow to conclude their appearance at the Williams Invitational. Tee time is set for 9 AM.
