SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.--The Skidmore College riding team had a strong start to competition, winning with 47 points over Reserve Champion SUNY Cobleskill (34 points).  With three regular competitions left, the team continues its push towards post season qualifications.

The day started with a sweep of the Open Equitation over Fences.  Harper Sanford '25 took the win in section A, with Kenya Sanders '25 winning section B.  The blues kept coming in the Intermediate Equitation over Fences, with Kayla Piper '24 and Elaina Doyle '24 both winning their sections.  Charlotte Lyon '25 won in the Limit Equitation over Fences to finish out the jumping classes.

It was all blues for Sanders as she won her Open Equitation on the Flat, and came out on top of the ride off for High Point Rider.  Sydney Dilascio of SUNY Cobleskill was Reserve High Point.  Aidan McNamara '27 won his Intermediate Equitation on the Flat, and Isa Jensen '27 won her Limit Equitation on the Flat.  The day finished with wins from Alice Condry-Power '24 and Emma Jennison '24 in the Introductory Equitation.  In total, the Thoroughbreds added ten blues to their Blue-Ribbon Challenge.  Six riders are qualified for Regional Finals.

The team travels next to Morrisville State College on February 24^th.
