POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – The Skidmore College swimming and diving teams continued an undefeated start to the season with a pair of conference dual meet victories on the road at Vassar on Saturday afternoon.
Both now 4-0 on the young season, the Thoroughbreds men cruised to a 192-92 victory after winning 14 of the 16 events, while the women battled to a much-closer 161-129 finish after placing eight total event winners. On the men's side, the senior duo of
Nicolas Sodi and
Liam Keating each completed a hat trick of event wins, alongside a first place relay.
"Today was an exceptional meet for our teams. Our swimmers consistently demonstrated grit as they pushed to win nearly every close race in the meet, while our depth in diving was instrumental in our women's team victory," said head coach
Jill Greenleaf.
The combined effort and intensity of our athletes was outstanding and we look forward to continuing to build this season."
