  • St. Lawrence, the second seed, will go to Vassar for the league title game on Sunday.
  • For Skidmore, the season ends with a 6-4-7 record. The Thoroughbreds doubled their win percentage from a year ago and nearly made it back to the championship game for the sixth time since 2006.
  • The first 83 minutes and change was a defensive battle. The game was tied at zero and quality chances were sparce.
  • On a long free kick by Max Heberlein, the ball sailed over the St. Lawrence goalkeeper and right to Colin Goodhines for his sixth goal of the year to put the Thoroughbred on the precipice with 6:27 remaining.
  • A foul called wide of the Skidmore box gave the Saints a free kick with just under two minutes left. The insert by Nicholas Petrone was headed in by Henry Brown for the late equalizer.
  • Skidmore was able to bounce back in the first overtime period, outshooting the Saints 5-1. David Garvin had a point-blank chance with just over a minute and a half left. His shot from in tight was knocked away by SLU goalie George Charalambous.
