INDIANAPOLIS – The Skidmore College women's soccer team earned an at-large selection to the 2024 NCAA DIII Women's Soccer Tournament. The Thoroughbreds will be traveling to the Messiah Regional in Grantham, Pennsylvania with a first-round opponent of Case Western Reserve University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
It is the first time since 2013 that Skidmore will play in the tournament and seventh in program history. The Thoroughbreds enter with an 11-3-3 record in 2024. Skidmore's first-round opponent, Case Western Reserve, is also an at-large selection out of the University Athletic Association. The Spartans are 8-4-5.
Host Messiah, champion of the MAC Commonwealth, will take on Gordon, the runner-up of the Conference of New England. That game is at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Saturday's winners will play Sunday at 1 p.m. all at Messiah's Shoemaker Field.
