POTSDAM, NY –The Skidmore College swimming and diving teams rounded out a strong season-opening road trip by securing a pair of dual meet victories against Clarkson at the short course Fuller Pool on Saturday afternoon.
The women's team came out on top with a commanding 213.5-80.5 final margin over the Golden Knights, while the men won as well with a score of 170-128. The Thoroughbreds saw 15 total event winners on the women's side, and a dozen for the men.
"Our trip to open up against Liberty League north country rivals St. Lawrence and Clarkson was obviously very successful. While the results highlight many strong early season performances, we are encouraged by the grit and versatility of our current team," said head coach
Jill Greenleaf.
It was exciting to see athletes excel across the board. In addition, three freshmen (Tulimieri, Kuznar and Gaughan) won their first events! We're excited to open at home against Union next week."
