TROY, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's basketball team held off host Rensselaer, 47-37, on Saturday afternoon for a weekend road sweep against a pair of Capital District foes. Skidmore won all six games in its six-game road swing.

- The Thoroughbreds made each of their final nine free throws in the final two minutes to ice the contest.
- RPI got to within four points with 2:28 remaining before Skidmore's hot run at the line. Overall, Skidmore was 14-for-15 (93.3 percent) at the stripe.
- The win is Skidmore's seventh in a row against RPI. The Thoroughbreds have won 12 out of the last 14 against the Engineers.
- Julia Blanck had 14 points and 14 rebounds for her third double-double in a row and 12th of the season. She also had four steals and two blocks while going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
- Emmy Plage had 10 points with four steals and two boards.
- Emilija Jakumaite scored seven off the bench with two rebounds and a steal.
- Skidmore took advantage of 21 RPI turnovers and turned them into 15 points. Skidmore turned it over just five times and did not allow any points off turnovers.
- The Thoroughbreds also finished with a commanding 14-5 edge in second-chance points with a 12-8 margin in bench points.
- Siena Smith led RPI with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
- After a dominant 16-5 first quarter for Skidmore, the roles reversed in the second as RPI outscored the guests 13-4 for a 20-18 Skidmore halftime lead. It remained just a two-point game after three periods before the Thoroughbreds were finally able to keep it out of reach late in the fourth.
- Skidmore improves to 15-4 overall and 10-2 in the Liberty League for a half-game lead for second over Ithaca.
- RPI is 7-12 and 5-7 and is a game back in the playoff race with six games left to play.
