SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College women's tennis team wrapped the Thoroughbred Invitational at the outdoor courts at the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center on Sunday.
 
Coach Curt Speerschneider: "It was a great weekend of tennis and obviously a special time for us to be competing at the new facility for the first time.  I think myself and the players kept having to stop just to take it in that this was our new home.  The team did a great job of competing every match.  They were really able to work on a lot of what we've been doing in the small number of practices that we've had, so I was really happy with how they've taken things in and are eager to keep learning and getting better.  They really did a great job of staying on task and focused throughout the weekend as well.  I think that shows great leadership and maturity on their part. Great start and I really look forward to seeing what this team can do this year."
