TROY, N.Y.—The 29th ranked Skidmore College women's tennis team nipped #35 Rensselaer 5-4 to improve to 6-0 in Liberty League play and 9-5 overall. The Engineers are 10-3 and 3-1.

• The number three doubles team of Ella Provost and Beilynn Geiss prevented an RPI doubles sweep with an 8-3 win over Brook Bauer and K. Flores-Gonzalez.
• Skidmore's depth paid off in singles with wins at 3,4,5 and 6.
• Provost led the charge with a 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-2 win at number three over Flores-Gonzalez.
• Coach Speerschneider: "Obviously a pretty close match, which we knew it would be.  This time of year is always a grind and this match was an example of that.  Everyone is feeling it, but it's just a matter of going out there and getting the job done.  This was definitely a team win as everyone had to pull each other through, and that's what good teams do."
