First Round Results

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y.—The Skidmore College golf team shot an opening round 304 in the University of Rochester Kravetz Invitational being played on the Par 72 Irondequoit Country Club course. Rochester leads the 36-hole event with 297. McDaniel College is third (307), College of Wooster fourth (309), Williams College fifth (310) and Hobart a distant sixth (335). Saturday's final round is set to start at 12:30 p.m., with the Thoroughbreds teeing off at 1:26.

• Corey Carter turned in one of his best collegiate rounds with an even par-72. He's tied for first with Rochester's Jonathan Zou. Carter birdied his final three holes to finish with four for the round.
• Colin Cusa is tied for fifth at 75, one stroke in front of Sean Hurley who's tied for ninth at 76. Hurley used four birdies to keep his score at +4.
• Evan Forrest (81) and Will Tone (84) round out the scoring players. Isaac Slater, playing as an individual shot 77.
