CANTON, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's tennis team stayed unbeaten in Liberty League play with a 7-2 win at St. Lawrence University. The Thoroughbreds are 5-1 overall and 4-0 in league play. The Saints are 2-1 and 1-1.

• Skidmore led 2-1 after doubles. Maya Lal and Chantel Thongphok won 8-3 at number two doubles over Caitlyn Avery and Emily Hughes.
• Lal came back for a 6-0, 6-2 win at number one singles against Catherine Gamble.
• Coach Curt Speerschneider "We came out a bit flat in doubles, but did a very good job refocusing and getting our games back to sweep singles. We're coming up on some tough matches the next few weeks so we need to be better from the start."
• Skidmore had won the last 14 matches against SLU.
• NEXT UP: Skidmore heads to Tampa to take on Valparaiso on March 13.
