MATCHUP:

• Ithaca won both games against Skidmore this year: 73-61 on Jan. 20 in Saratoga Springs, and 52-49 on Feb. 4 in Ithaca.
• To reach the title game, Skidmore defeated third-seeded Vassar College at home on Friday night, 77-66.
• Emmy Plage scored 15 points with six rebounds, two assists, and a steal to lead the Thoroughbreds. Cassie Davidson dropped 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds, while Kate McCarney scored 12 points and drilled a late 3-pointer to aid the Thoroughbred winning effort.
• Ithaca breezed its way through the semifinal round with a dominant 73-39 win over RPI on Friday. The nationally 15^th-ranked Bombers were led by Emily Dorn in the win. She had 14 points, four rebounds, and two blocks. Annabella Yorio scored 11 points, and Cara Volpe had 10.
• Julia Blanck is Skidmore's leading scorer entering the title game. She averages 8.2 points with 9.3 rebounds. Andi Levitz scores 8.0 points per game and has made 54 3-pointers on the season up to this point.
• For Ithaca, Dorn leads the team in scoring with 11.0 points per game with 6.2 rebounds.
• Ithaca is tied for the team-lead in scoring in the Liberty League with 66.5 points per game. Skidmore is not far behind with an average of 64.2 points.
• The Bombers have the league's best scoring defense, allowing 49.3 points per contest. Skidmore is second at 51.8.
• At home, Ithaca is 12-0 in 2022-23. Skidmore is 9-2 on the road. Skidmore's only road loss dating back to Nov. 16 was at Ithaca in early February.

 
 
SERIES/POSTSEASON:

• Ithaca leads the head-to-head series 12-7.
• The Bombers have won the last six contests against the Thoroughbreds.
• This is the first postseason meeting between the teams.
• Ithaca has won the past three Liberty League titles. Last year, the Bombers advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Springfield in overtime.
• Skidmore won the 2017-18 Liberty League championship, its second league title.
• This is Skidmore's fourth appearance in the league's championship contest.
