MATCHUP:

• Vassar defeated sixth-seeded Union College on Tuesday, 73-57, to advance to the semifinal.
• Skidmore defeated Vassar in both games during the regular season: 60-52 on Jan. 13 in Poughkeepsie, and 71-66 on Feb. 11 in Saratoga Springs.
• Skidmore clinched the No. 2 seed and first-round bye on Feb. 11 in the win over Vassar.
• Last time out, Skidmore rolled through Clarkson in its regular-season finale, 78-47. The Thoroughbreds enter the playoffs on a four-game winning streak and have won nine out of their last 10 games.
• Vassar has lost just twice since Jan. 7, both times against Skidmore. The Brewers are 13-2 over that span and enter the semifinal 11-1 over their last dozen games.
