SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College equestrian team finished the fall semester with a perfect score at home, winning with 49 points over Siena College and Morrisville State College, who tied for Reserve with 30 points.  In a rare demonstration of excellent riding, Skidmore's pointed riders won all eight of their classes.
 
The open riders started the day, with Sophia Olivero '26 and Kenya Sanders '25 winning the two Open Equitation over Fences classes.  Lillard Preschlack '26 won her Intermediate Equitation over Fences, and Ani McIntyre '27 won her Limit Equitation over Fences. 

The blue ribbons kept coming in the flat classes, with Sanders and Harper Sanford '25 winning both sections of the Open Equitation on the Flat, and Olivero winning her Intermediate Equitation on the Flat.  Thoroughbreds took three out of four sections of Limit Equitation on the Flat, with Elise Sigety '25, Isa Jensen '27, and Ani McIntyre '27 all winning their sections.  After winning both their jumping and flat classes, McIntyre, Sanders, and Olivero all joined the ride off for High Point Rider.  Olivero came out on top with the High Point Award, and Sanders took Reserve.

The day finished off with wins from Stella Brown '26 in the Novice Equitation, and Emma Jennison '24 and Alice Condry-Power '24 in the Introductory Equitation.  Overall, the riders
totaled thirteen blue ribbons for their Blue-Ribbon Challenge.

The riders returns to competition after winter break with a home show on February 17, 2024.
