SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.--The Skidmore College field hockey team hosts its annual Field Hockey vs. Cancer event on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. when the Thoroughbreds face Liberty League rival Vassar College at Wagner Park.
Â
Donations to help fight cancer will be accepted during the game with all proceeds going to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.Â
Â
So many lives have been deeply affected by cancer, including our Skidmore College Field Hockey community. Sunday's game will be played in honor of Mary Glodis, beloved aunt to our own player,
Brooke Tunnicliffe. Mary loved our team and was an avid supporter. She tragically lost her fight against cancer earlier this year.Â
Â
Donations will gladly be accepted in the form of cash, checks made out to: The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, or Venmo @SCFHvsCancer.  Baked goods and a limited number of T-shirts will also be available for sale during the game. Everyone is encouraged to join us in supporting this important cause.
