SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Behind two goals from junior
Kamal Ibrahim, the Skidmore College men's soccer team defeated visiting UMass Boston, 3-1, on Monday.

- Ibrahim scored twice within a 13-minute span in the first half to put the Thoroughbreds ahead. He scored while sliding to tap in a bouncing pass through the box from Finn Weber in the 12th minute to make it 1-0.
- Then, he headed an Ethan Kilmnick insert in near the right post to double the Skidmore (1-0-1) lead in the 25th minute.
- Sophomore Max Heberlein also scored on a header with 1:34 remaining in the first half on a corner kick from classmate Ethan Slager to make it 3-0 at the break.
- The Beacons got on the board on a 70th-minute penalty kick by Diego Gisholt.
- Both teams had a goal called back on respective offside infractions.
- Skidmore dominated in shots, 20-8.
- Skidmore goalkeeper Bobby Stratts was relied on for five saves to earn the victory.
- Visiting keepers Qasim El-Ashkar and Victor Reyes combined for six saves on the afternoon.
- Ibrahim led all players with six shots, and three on goal.
- Gisholt had five shots, all on target, for UMass Boston (1-1-1).
