TROY, N.Y. – After winning three singles matches and advancing to the Middlebury Men's Tennis Invitational Championship match, senior
Brendan Jimenez from the Skidmore College men's tennis team was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week.

Jimenez opened the season with a splash at Middlebury. On Friday, the fourth-seeded Jimenez opened with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Jake Cohen from Colby. Then, he beat Vuk Vuksanovic of Tufts 6-1, 7-5.

Then, on Saturday morning, he upset top-seed and 2022 Liberty League Player of the Year Aiden Drover-Mattinsen of RPI 7-5, 3-6, 10-4.

Jimenez's run came to an end in the title match against second-seeded Rishabh Sharda from Tufts.

Jimenez and the Thoroughbreds return to the court Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 at the ITA Northeast Regionals hosted by Drew University.
