MIDDLEBURY, Vt.—The Skidmore College golf team shot an opening round 305 in the 38
th Duke Nelson Invitational being played on at the Par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course at Middlebury College. The Thoroughbreds are tied with Hamilton College, one stroke behind Bowdoin and New York University. The event concludes with a final round on Sunday.

- Host Middlebury (293) leads the 24-team event. St. Lawrence (299) is second. Trinity and Rensselaer (301) are tied for third and Babson (302) is fifth.
- Evan Forrest is leading the Thoroughbreds with a 73. He's tied for sixth after ringing up four birdies. Isaac Slater and Jack Walsh are tied for 22nd at 76. Corey Crater is tied for 62nd ta 80 and Sean Hurley is tied for 74th with 81.
- There are 124 players competing. RPI's Joey Harrigan is one of four players tied for first with 71.
