ORLANDO, Fla.—Skidmore College sophomore
Zachary Portnoy lost to Vishnu Joshi of Johns Hopkins 6-4, 6-2 Friday in the NCAA Division III singles championship round of 32.

Competing in his first NCAA tournament, Portnoy hit 74% of his first serves and 86% of his second serves, but Vishnu won 72% of his first serve points to 56% for Portnoy.

Portnoy finished the season ranked 13
th in the ITA Northeast Region as Skidmore's top singles player.
