POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's tennis team lost its first Liberty League match since April 3, 2016, 5-4 at Vassar College on Saturday. The loss snapped a 48-match league win streak. The Brewers were the last Liberty League team to beat Skidmore.  The Thoroughbreds are 9-4 overall and 6-1 in league play. Vassar is 13-2 and 6-0.
 

• Skidmore led 2-1 after doubles. Grace Truong and Ella Provost beat Tatum Blalock and Macey Dowd 8-6 at number two, while Konika Dhull and Sofia Carlsson were 8-4 winners at number three.
• Chanhtel Thongphok's win at number six singles over Elyse Duley 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 gave the Skidmore a 4-3 lead when rain forced the number four and three singles indoors.
• The result was a pair of tough three-set losses. Truong fell 7-5, 7-5, 6-1 at number four and Dhull lost 2-6, 6-2, 7-5 at number three to give the Brewers the 5-4 win.
• Skidmore jumps right back into it on Sunday at Williams College.
