ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Skidmore College riding team rode to a win at Hartwick College's Horse Show with 43 points. Morrisville State College was Reserve Champion with a score of 34.
After a delay due to snow, the riders started the day with
Kenya Sanders '25 winning her Open Equitation over Fences class for the second week in a row, while
Emily Gilbert '23 was second.
Chloe Bell-Thompson '23 brought another win in Limit Equitation over Fences.
Laurel Gaddis '22 brought in the first blue in the afternoon with her win in Intermediate Equitation on the Flat. Bell-Thompson also won her Limit Equitation on the Flat. This qualified her for the High Point Ride Off, which she won for the High Point Title.
Amity Wilson was second in her Novice Equitation class, qualifying her for Regional Finals.
Grace Howard wrapped up the day for the team with a win in the Introductory Equitation, bringing the riders blue ribbon count to five.
The team travels to Morrisville State College on March 5 for the last regular season competition.
