Saratoga Springs, NY – The Skidmore College riding team finished the fall semester schedule with a home win, scoring 47 points. Senior Alexandra Vassiliou took away the High Point Rider Award and the team added 11 blue ribbons to its tally, bringing the count for the season to 50.

After a handful of ribbons for Skidmore riders in the Open Equitation over Fences, Vassiliou brought in the first win for the day in Intermediate Fences. In addition to the
blue ribbon, Vassiliou's ride qualified her for Regional Finals in March.  Skidmore riders won every Limit Fences class in which they were entered, with Halle Avratin, Charlotte Lyon and Abby Segalman each winning their section.

Emily Gilbert started the flat portion of the day with a win in her section of Open Flat, with Harper Sanford winning the second section.  Sydney Jasny  won her Intermediate Flat, and once again the Limit riders brought in the blues, with Vassiliou, Xenia Zimmerman and Elaina Doyle each winning their section of Limit Flat.  Her wins over fences and on the flat qualified Vassiliou to ride off for the High Point Rider Award, which she won handily to take the top prize.  The day rounded out with Leah Littlefield winning her section of Novice Equitation, and Aurora Xu winning in Introductory Equitation, and also qualifying for Regional Finals.

The team next competes in January when they travel to Savannah College of Art and Design for the Tournament of Champions.  Regular season competition resumes in February.
