SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's soccer team battled back from a 2-0 deficit to force overtime, but fell in penalty kicks to Clarkson University in a Liberty League quarter final Tuesday afternoon at Wachenheim Field. The game goes down as a 2-2 tie. Skidmore finishes its season 10-2-4, while the Golden Knights advance to a Friday semifinal at Ithaca with a 9-5-4 record.

- Clarkson goalie Molly DiCaprio was the difference for the Golden Knights. She made the deciding save in the penalties and then switched to offense and calmly scored Clarkson's fifth shot for the 5-3 tiebreaker.
- Maddie Lopol and Lillian Gillett staked Clarkson to a 2-0 lead. Lopol scored off a scramble following a corner at 15:01. Gillett took a perfect pass from Arin Bates to score from the center top of the box at 37:30.
- Skidmore came out hard in the second half. Katt Dunn scored her team-high eighth of the season at 52:33 when she beat traffic right in front. Isabella Nevin and Paige Karl assisted. Emily Vinick came off the bench to even the score with her second of the season at 76:30 when her low shot from the top of the box got past DiCaprio.
- The teams traded chances for the rest of regulation. Opportunities were limited in the overtime, with the Thoroughbreds taking the only shot on goal that DiCaprio handled in the 105th minute.
- Clarkson had a slight 19-16 edge in shots and Skidmore was up 5-4 in corners.
- Claire Wolgast had five saves. DiCaprio finished with eight.
