SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's basketball team will try to solidify it spot in the Liberty League top half when the Thoroughbreds host RIT and Union College in a pair league games Friday and Saturday.

Only Skidmore students, faculty and staff with valid ID and KN95 masks will be allowed to attend this weekend's games. No outside fans will be permitted. The RIT game is at 5:30 p.m. Friday, while the Union contest is at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Thoroughbreds (9-4, 4-4 Liberty League) are in fourth place in the 10-team conference. The top six teams make the six-team league tournament. RIT is 7-7 and 4-5, including a 57-56 double overtime win against Skidmore on Jan. 8. Union is 1-5 over its last six games for a 4-10 overall and 2-6 league record.

Kate McCarney (12.1 ppg), Julie Blanck (11.3), and
Clare Driscoll (11.2) are all scoring in double figures for Skidmore. Blanck is among the league leaders with 9.2 rebounds per game. Driscoll is second in the league with 1.8 blocks per game.
Maddie Hastings is contributing a league-high 2.0 steals per game.

Skidmore is third in league defense, allowing only 56.2 points per game, while putting up a league high .321 opponent FG%.

The RIT game starts a five-game home stand, with the final five games on the road.
