GENEVA, N.Y.— Unseeded Katherine Almquist advanced to the ITA Northeast Regional Singles Semifinals at William Smith College.
 
She lost to  #2 seed and eventual champion Dakota Fordham in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-1.

On the way to the semis, Almquist joined teammates Lily Feldman, Chantel Thongphok and Konika Dhull in the third round.
 
She beat classmate Dhull, 6-2, 6-0 in the third round and then won 6-4, 6-1 over Vassar's Macey Dowd in the quarterfinals. She will play #2 seed Dakota Fordham in the semifinals.
 
Feldman beat Camila Ruiz Vega of Rochester 6-3, 6-2 in the third round before falling to Hamilton's Hannah Aspey 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. Thongphok retired in her third-round match.
