Thoroughbreds fourth after first round of Williams Fall Invitational

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass.—The Skidmore College golf team shot an opening round 302 to sit in fourth place out of 18 teams in the Williams College Fall Invitational being played at the Par-71 Taconic Golf Club.
 
Babson College (284) opened a seven-stroke lead over second place Trinity College (291). Hamilton (299) is third. Middlebury and Endicott are tied for fifth at 303.  The tournament concludes Sunday.
 
Sean Hurley led the Thoroughbreds with a two over 73. He's in 10th, two strokes ahead of teammate Kevin McGough who is is tied for 17th at 75. Evan Forrest is tied for 24th with 76 and John Guerrera is tied for 40th with 78. Cole Vacca is tied for 55th with 80.
 
Trinity's Benjamin Boyd is the early leader with a three-under 68.
