Ephs snap Thoroughbred streak

Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—Williams College handed the Skidmore College men's soccer team its first loss of the season, 1-0 Tuesday night at Wachenheim Field.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 3-1, while the Ephs move to 2-1.
 
The game's lone goal came with three seconds to go in the first half. Keel Brissett collected a loose ball in the box and scored just before the horn.
 
It was the first goal allowed by the Thoroughbreds this season.
 
Skidmore had quality chances in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ethan Slager deked two Williams defenders at the top of the box and fired a shot that was well played by Eph goalie Ben Diffley.
 
Williams outshot Skidmore 17-5 and had a 3-2 edge in corners.
 
Bobby Stratts registered a career high seven saves for the Thoroughbreds. Diffley finished with two saves.
 
Skidmore opens Liberty League play Friday with a 7 p.m. game at Union College.
