SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— Williams College scored three first quarter goals on the way to a 4-1 field hockey win over Skidmore College, Friday at Wagner Park.

The Thoroughbreds are 1-2, while the 10
th ranked Ephs are 2-0.

Emily Batchelor redirected a shot at the 11:00 mark to put Williams up 1-0. Shea van den Broek then scored twice in a :36 span at 14:08 and 14:44 to make it 3-0. Margo Bernardo put away a rebound at the end of the first half for a 4-0 lead at the break.

Mariah Redler broke-up the shutout with her team-high fourth goal of the season at 51:10 for the 4-1 final.

Williams had a  17-4 shot and 8-3 corner advantage.

Jess Gaetgens had 10 saves for Skidmore, while
Lauren Ruggiero had a defensive save.

Carson Stephenson and Gates Tenerowicz combined for two saves for Williams and Addie sidles had a defensive save.

Skidmore hosts Geneseo on Saturday at 12 p.m.
