MORRISVILLE, N.Y.—The Skidmore College equestrian team emerged victorious on both days at Morrisville State College's weekend shows.  Skidmore riders also took home the High Point Rider prize for both days.   

 

The first win for Saturday came from Nina Shilling in the Open Equitation over Fences, followed by wins from Keilty Archibald in Intermediate Equitation over Fences, and France Bibow and Chloe Bell-Thompson in Limit Equitation over Fences.

 

Bell-Thompson continued her winning ways in the afternoon, coming first in her Limit Equitation on the Flat class.  She also clinched the High Point Rider Award for the day.  The riders saw additional wins from Aliah Debejian in Novice Equitation and Jade Bacherman and Grace Howard in Introductory Equitation.  The team ended the day on top with a score of 39 points. 

 

On day 2, the riders got their first wins with Ella Brophy and Elise Sigety in Limit Equitation over Fences.  The blue ribbons kept coming with Archibald in Intermediate Equitation on the Flat, Elaina Doyle and Hannah Taylor in Limit Equitation on the Flat, and Jade Bacherman in Introductory Equitation.  Brophy clinched the High Point Rider prize for the day, and the team finished with 37 points for the win. 

 

Skidmore gears up next for its first home show on November 13^th.
