TROY, N.Y. – Harry Grosso from the Skidmore College men's golf team was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week following his win at Turning Stone over the weekend.
 
The senior followed up his 1-under par 71 in round one with a 4-under par 68 to win the Liberty League Fall Preview by two strokes over Rensselaer's Joey Harrigan.
 
Grosso, a Wellesley, Mass. native, capped his victory with a ferocious finish by carding birdies on three of his final four holes. Over the two days at the par-72 Shenendoah Golf Club at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, Grosso totaled 10 birdies, five coming in each round.
 
Grosso was the only player in the field to finish in the red on par-4s with a scoring average of 3.80.
 
Skidmore closes the fall portion of the schedule by hosting the Saratoga National Invitational Oct. 9-10.
