TROY, N.Y.-- Megan White slammed two home runs and Hannah Davis had one to lead the Skidmore College softball team to a 7-2 game 2 win over Sage Colleges. The Gators won the first game 3-2.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 12-14, while Sage is 10-16.
 
GAME 1
 
Skidmore worked out a 2-0 lead behind a sacrifice fly off the bat of Karly Fishkin in the first inning and a Fishkin solo home run in the fourth. The Gators tied 2-2 it in the bottom of the fourth before going ahead in the sixth on a two-out single to left.
 
The Thoroughbreds threatened in the seventh with runners on first and second with one out, but worked out of the jam for the 3-2 win.
 
Megan White and Hannah Paolucci were 1-3 with a double each. Emily Popp (4-7) took the loss in relief of starter Hannah Davis. She allowed one run on two hits with two strikeouts in two innings. Davis tossed the first four innings, allowing two runs on four hits. She walked three and struck out three.
 
GAME 2
 
Down 1-0, White keyed a three-run third inning for Skidmore with a solo home run to center. Fishkin doubled and scored on a Kaitlyn Judd single, then Judd scored on a Popp double for the 3-1 led.
 
Skidmore added two more in the fourth on Davis' two-run blast. Sage scored a single run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth. White's second home run of the game was a two-run dinger in the sixth.
 
Davis (6-4) got the win. She allowed one run on four hits over four innings with two walks and five strikeouts. Popp picked-up her second save of the season, throwing the final three innings.
 
White was 3-4 with two home runs and three RBI. Genesis Delgado was 2-3 with a run and Davis finished 2-3 with a home run and two RBI.

The Thoroughbreds return to Liberty League play at home Saturday at 1 p.m. against St. Lawrence.
