TUCSON, Ariz.—Rookie
Hannah Davis tossed a complete game two-hit shutout to lead the Skidmore College softball team to a 1-0 win over Wisconsin-Plattville Saturday.
The Thoroughbreds (3-5) were scheduled to play Augsburg University Saturday evening to close out their spring trip, but those results were not available.
Davis (1-1) allowed a pair of singles, walking two with seven strikeouts and one hit batter.
Skidmore got all the scoring it would need in the fourth inning.
Karly Fishkin led off with a single and advanced to second on a perfect sacrifice bunt to third by
Kaitlyn Judd. She then stole third.
Emily Popp entered the game as a pinch hitter, delivering a two out single to right to plate Fishkin.
The Thoroughbreds return home to host Cazenovia College on March 23 in a pair starting at 1 p.m.
