MEET RESULTS
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's swimming and diving team put up a dominant performance in its return to the pool, defeating Bard by a 122-24 margin at the Williamson Sports Center Wednesday night.
The Thoroughbreds made solid strides in its return, winning every scored event against the undermanned Raptors. In the relay events, the 200-yard medley relay team of
Leadora Kyin,
Alyssa Pacewicz,
Olivia Czelusniak, and
Olivia Frechette earned the victory in the opening event, swimming in a time of 2:05.04. Frechette,
Meredith Wagner, Joanie Eastabrook, and
Natalia Ignatov swam first in the 200-yard freestyle relay, finishing in 1:51.50.
Claire Stetten and
Meredith Wagner each won a pair of individual events to lead the Thoroughbreds. Stetten touched first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:06.91) and the 1,000-yard freestyle (12:06.38), while Wagner won the 50-yard freestyle (27.17) and the 100-yard freestyle (59.10).
Lila Campbell won her first collegiate event, breezing through the 200-yard freestyle event with a time of 2:10.96. Pacewicz won her second overall event of the afternoon, edging out a crowded field in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:16.23.
Elizabeth Levy (2:27.52), Kyin (1:07.29), and
Chloe Cummings (5:41.61) also picked up victories in the 200-yard IM, 100-yard backstroke, and 500-yard freestyle, respectively.
Hannah Krall and
Rachel Adamsky split the two exhibitioned diving events. Krall took the 3-meter event with a score of 198.73, while Adamsky dove ahead with a narrow three-point victory over Krall on the 1-meter platform, earning a score of 169.50.
With the team victory, Skidmore improves to 3-3 on the season, while Bard falls to 0-5. The Thoroughbreds will head to Troy this Saturday to compete in the RPI Invite, with action beginning at noon.
