GENEVA, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's soccer team stretched its unbeaten streak to seven, thanks to a 1-1 draw against defending Liberty League champion Hobart, in league action at Cozzens Field Saturday afternoon.
After two league matches, Skidmore is atop the Liberty League standings with a 1-0-1 record and four points. The Thoroughbreds improve to 4-1-3 overall. Hobart is 1-4-2 overall and is 0-0-1 after its first league contest.
The goals came early for both teams. Skidmore led things off in the 17

Ben Caples throw into the penalty box. Hobart knotted things up in the 34
th minute, when a foul in the box set up a penalty shot opportunity and conversion for Hobart's Binjo Emmanuel. The Hobart goal snapped a 325-minute scoreless streak for junior goalie
Sebastian Bosch and the Skidmore defense.
Skidmore would outshoot Hobart in the second half and overtime by a 15-10 margin, but were unable to get the game-winner.
Bosch and Hobart goalie Alec Kaminer each made nine saves in 110 minutes to earn the draw.
Skidmore finishes the road trip next Saturday, heading to RPI at 2 p.m.
