KISSIMMEE, Fla.—The Skidmore College softball team rolled past McDaniel 7-0 and lost 8-3 to St. Norbert College Thursday in Florida.
The Thoroughbreds are 4-4 with two Florida games left. Skidmore plays Plattsburgh and William Paterson on Saturday.
Amanda Carilli tossed a complete game four-hit shutout against McDaniel. She walked one and struck out three to improve to 2-1.
Hannah Paolucci was 2-2 with a solo home run for the Thoroughbreds.
Drew Bugna was 1-3 with a three-run triple, while
Adrianna Garcia went 2-4 with a two-run double.
Karly Fishkin and
Emily Popp were both 2-4.
St. Norbert broke open a close game with five runs in the sixth inning. Paolucci was 2-3 with an RBI double and
Lizette Roman-Johnston went 2-3 with an RBI.
Nicole Rosner took the loss in relief, allowing five runs (three earned) on three hits, She walked five and struck out one in five innings.
