MEET RESULTS
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's swimming and diving team dropped a league meet to Vassar by a 173-113 score at the Kresge Pool Saturday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds fall to 1-2 on the young season, while Vassar remains undefeated at 3-0.
Hannah Krall had a solid afternoon on the boards, picking up victories for Skidmore in the 1- and 3-meter dives. At 1-meter, she finished with 157.35 points, with
Grace Howard finishing in third with 125.95 points. In the 3-meter event, Hannah finished with 184.50 points.
Other notable finishes by the Thoroughbred swimmers include the 200-yard medley relay team of
Claire Stetten,
Meredith Wagner,
Brooke Edwards, and
Olivia Czelusniak, who finished third in 1:59.50. Individually, Stetten finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:05.99) and the 100-yard freestyle (57.76). Wagner touched third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.25), with
Alyssa Pacewicz right behind in 1:15.37. Wagner also finished third in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:43.95).
Elizabeth Levy and Madison Collins finished 2-3 in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing in 2:26.19 and 2:30.81, respectively. Edwards finished third in the 50-yard freestyle (26.75), while Frechette touched third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:41.27).
The Thoroughbreds will open the Williamson Sports Center Pool for 2018-19 with a home meet against Utica next Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m.
