GENEVA, N.Y.—The Skidmore College women's basketball team dropped a 59-56 Liberty League road game to William Smith College Saturday afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds are 6-8 overall and 4-3 in league play. The Herons are 2-5 and 8-6.

Kelly Donnelly had a game-high 25 points for Skidmore to go along with eight rebounds.
Ari Fustini added eight points.
Veronica Moceri and
Ari Fustini added eight points and five assists each.

William Smith placed three players in double figures. Stavriana Dimitrakopoulou led the way with 14 points.

Skidmore opened a 29-20 halftime lead behind Donnelly's 15 points. The two-time All-American pulled down seven first-half rebounds.

After Moceri scored the first basket of the second half, the Herons went on a 26-2 run to go up 46-33 with 8:10 to play in the fourth quarter. The Thoroughbreds were able to cut it to three with two seconds left, but the Herons ran the clock out for the 59-56 win.
