GENESEO, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's soccer team dropped its first contest of the season on Saturday, falling to Geneseo 2-0 at Geneseo's College Stadium Saturday afternoon.
 
The Thoroughbreds fall to 2-1 on the season, while Geneseo stays unbeaten at 4-0.
 
Grace Dunnigan tallied an early goal in the fourth minute to get the Knights on the board. Audrey Reid tallied the second for Geneseo in the 53rd minute to complete the scoring. Domenica Piccoli tallied assists for both goals.
 
Freshman midfielder Yasmine Boukari tallied four shots on goal to lead the Thoroughbreds. Senior midfielder Jemimah Cochrane and junior forward Emma Basso also tallied a shot on goal. Senior goalkeeper Alyssa Rollins made six saves in net, while her counterpart Emily Janiszewski stopped all six shots she faced for the victory.

Shots favored Geneseo by a 13-7 margin. The Knights also owned a slight 5-2 margin on corner kicks.
 
Skidmore will return home to Wachenheim Field Sunday, taking on #7 Williams at 1 p.m.
