Amanda Carilli was in late season form with a complete game shutout to lead the Skidmore College softball team to a 1-0 win over Franklin & Marshall College and a doubleheader split, Friday afternoon in Florida. The Thoroughbreds lost 11-6 to McDaniel College in the opener.

Skidmore is 4-6 and will close out its spring trip with another pair on Saturday against St. Scholastica and Loras.

Carilli gave up five hits (all singles), one walk and three strikeouts.

Skidmore got its run in the top of the seventh when
Lauren Fortunato singled, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored on an infield groundout by
Mary Farrington.

Against McDaniel, Fortunato was 3-4 with two runs.Lizette Roman-Jonhston was 3-4 with a double and two RBI and
Mary Farrington was 2-4 with a double, triple and two RBI.
Emily Popp was 2-3 with a run and RBI.
