SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's soccer team looks to remain undefeated in league play and move up in the Liberty League standings, as the Thoroughbreds host a pair of contests this weekend against Ithaca and RIT. Skidmore hosts Ithaca in a league battle for the first time this season on Friday at 4 p.m., then welcome the Tigers for a Saturday contest, at 2 p.m.

Skidmore sits in fifth-place with six points, despite being undefeated in four Liberty League matches. The Thoroughbreds have a game in hand over third-place Hobart and fourth-place RPI, as the three teams sit three points apart in the crowded league table.

Last week, Skidmore briefly stepped out of conference action, defeating Elmira 3-0, then went back to league play with a 1-1 draw at Vassar. 12 different players have scored for Skidmore this season. Leading the team and second in the conference in scoring is Augustine Okoye, who has 14 points on six goals and two assists. Mike Park is second with three goals, all off set pieces or penalty kicks. Dario Flores and Kevin Santos share the team lead with three assists.

Sebastian Bosch has been solid in his first full season in net. He sports a 0.69 goals against average and a .868 save percentage. The sophomore is second in the league in both stats, posting a pair of shutouts.

SCOUTING ITHACA

Ithaca, coming into the Liberty League from the Empire 8 this season, has a 5-5-1 overall record so far, and has three points on a 1-3 record in league action. The Bombers last faced Bard at home, in a resounding 5-0 victory last Saturday. Leading the Ithaca charge on offense is Eric Hepler, who has four goals and two assists for 10 points. Zach Lichtman is Ithaca's assist leader with five.

The last time these two teams squared off was in 2015. Skidmore and Ithaca played to a scoreless draw at Wachenheim Field.

RIT comes into the weekend with a 3-5-2 mark overall and have four points on a 1-2-1 mark in the league table. After an 0-2 start in league play, the Tigers beat Clarkson 2-1 and tied St. Lawrence 2-2 to get back into the postseason chase.
