SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College softball team picked-up a pair of non-league wins Thursday over Cazenovia 8-0 and 17-1.

The Thoroughbreds improve to 12-20, while the Wildcats are 9-13.

Both games featured big innings. Skidmore scored six in the first of game one and 13 in the fourth of game two.

GAME 1
Amanda Carilli (9-12) had no problem moving through the Wildcat line-up for the shutout. She allowed five hits with three strikeouts and no walks in the five inning game.

Skidmore got all the offense it needed in a six run first inning. The Thoroughbreds sent 11 players to the plate, scoring six runs on five singles and three walks.
Dani DeGregory had a two-run two-out single to close out the scoring.
Â
DeGregory was 1-2 with a pair of walks, two runs, and two RBI.
Karly Fishkin,
Cassie Fishkin, and
Lauren Fortunato had two hits each. Fortunato had her 11
th double of the season.
Jill Strileckis was 1-1 with an RBI double.

GAME 2
Cassie Fishkin(2-4)  got the win in the second game. She allowed one unearned run on two hits with no walks and four strikeouts. The Thoroughbreds scored one in the first and three in the second to go up 4-0.
Karly Fishkin had an RBI double in the second. Â Â

After Cazenovia scored an unearned run in the third, Skidmore marched 18 batters to the plate in a 13-run fourth inning. Â
May-Lin McEvoy had a three-run home run and
Rochelle Brown had a two-run single in the inning.
Christine Munisteri was 2-2 in the inning with two RBI and a run.

DeGregory went 4-4 with three runs and an RBI. Fortunato was 3-3 with two runs and two RBI,
Kristina Foley was 2-4 with two RBI and two runs, and
Karly Fishkin was 2-4 with an RBI and two runs.

DeGregory raised her batting average to a lofty .437 with her five hits, while Fortunato went from .378 to .402 with her five hits in the two games.

Skidmore returns to Liberty League action on Saturday at Union at 1 p.m.
